2012 Leadership Dinner 

Merrill ReeseMERRILL REESE has been the play-by-play “Voice of the Philadelphia Eagles” for over 30 years and is scheduled to appear as the Keynote Speaker at 36th Annual Leadership Dinner of the Hawk Mountain Council on February 28.

Merrill ReeseHe has been named Pennsylvania Sportscaster of the Year numerous times and also Radio Broadcaster of the Year. Additionally, he was selected Person of the Year by the Broadcast Pioneers and Philadelphia’s best sportscaster by Philadelphia Magazine.

Merrill has been inducted into the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame, the Temple University Communications Hall of Fame and the Overbrook High School Hall of Fame.

In addition to his Eagles’ broadcasts, he has spent 14 years as Sports Director of WIP, has handled play-by-play of Big 5 basketball and University of Pennsylvania football, and was the on-camera host and play-by-play voice of ESPN’s award winning series, “NFL Dream Season” in 1990. He has also handled tennis play-by-play for Madison Square Garden Television in New York with Billie Jean King.

His autobiography, published in 1998 ... Merrill Reese: "It’s Good" is a best seller.

This year’s dinner, chaired by Bob Davis, President and CEO of VIST Financial, promises to continue the tradition of outstanding and memorable Leadership Dinners.
