Young Women Can Join Scouting Too!

From time to time I hear parents commenting about how their daughters are sometimes envious of their brothers, who are Boy Scouts or Venturers, because of the high adventure types of activities that they get to do. How many of you know that the BSA Venturing program can be Co-Educational?

Venturing is for young adults, male AND female, ages 14 through 20. Venturing Crews can be all male, all female, or more commonly co-ed. If you have or know of any young women who would like to participate in exciting high adventure activities, please consider forming a Venturing Crew. It only takes 5 adult leaders, 5 youth, and a chartered partner or organization to start a Venturing Crew. Call the Frontier District Executive, at 610-926-3406, for more information.

Frontier District Training for 2010

All training sessions will take place at Oley Valley High School, Room 133 at 6:30pm unless otherwise noted. Leaders are encouraged to take whichever training course suits their needs, regardless of the group presenting it. Please pre-register by calling your district executive, 610-926-3406, prior to the training date if possible.
