National, Regional, and Area VOA Officer Application
Are you interested in pursuing a more advanced role in Venturing? Have you ever wanted to try organizing and leading activities, rather than just participating in them? Well now is your chance! The Northeast Region Area 6 Venturing Officer’s Association (A6VOA) will now be accepting officer applications for the upcoming term 2012-2013.
Act now … the Venturing President and Vice-President Nomination Form is available online, and the form along with its required supporting materials must be received by the BSA’s national office in Irving, Texas no later than March 1, 2013. Do not send materials directly to any current Area 6 officer or advisor — all nominations must be processed through the national office as directed on the nomination form.
To qualify for an Area 6 Venturing officer position, the following criteria must be met:
- Have served as a President in a crew, or any higher Venturing leadership position (Area, Region, etc.)
- Will remain under the age of 21 for the entirety of their term (June 1, 2013 – May 31, 2014).
- Is currently registered as a Venturer in one of Area 6′s nine member councils
You will then submit the application to the national office postmarked no later than March 1, 2013. Do not send materials directly to any current Area 6 officer or advisor, as all nominations must be processed first through the national office. The Area will receive applications directly from the national office and then begin to consider each candidate.
