OUR PROGRAMS
Youth and families in our local communities are faced with many challenges - high rates of poverty, unemployment, poor nutrition and physical fitness, single-parent families and high rates of truancy. Unchecked, these social issues have a profound negative impact on youth. Along with our traditional programs, we are expanding two special initiatives:
ScoutReach
The mission of ScoutReach in the Hawk Mountain Council is to ensure that Scouting is available to all youth, regardless of who they are, where they live, their culture or economic ability.
Exploring
Our young men and women participating in Exploring learn how to make informed decisions about their future career and college choices while learning valuable employability skills – leadership, work ethic, character, personal responsibility and teamwork.
